Erin Hood, a senior at Pace Academy and a member of Dynamo Swim Club in Atlanta, has made her commitment to swim for Georgetown University in the fall of 2020. A breaststroker and IMer, Hood has career-best times in the breaststroke races that would have been the top times on the current Hoyas’ team for the 2019-2020 season.

At the 2020 Georgia 1-5A High School State Championship meet, Hood took home a pair of silver medals in the 200 yard IM (2:05.66) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.97). A month later at the 2020 Southern Premier Invitational, she took 19th place in the 100-yard breaststroke(1:05.52), 13th place in the 400 yard IM (4:27.82), and 7th place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.53).
Top Times in Yards:
- 100 breast – 1:04.88
- 200 breast – 2:19.53
- 200 IM – 2:05.66
- 400 IM – 4:27.38
Hood’s career fastest times in the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes would have earned her a 6th place and a 2nd place respectively at the 2020 Big East Conference Championships. She will join fellow breaststroker Emily Giesler as well as Bella Wylie, Mia Brown, and Hailey Harkins as members of the Hoyas’ class of 2024.
