CSU Rams Get Verbal from In-State Fly/Back Specialist, Olivia Chatman

Olivia Chatman of Colorado Springs, Colorado has verbally committed to Colorado State University for 2017-18. Chatman is a senior at Pine Creek High School, and a finalist in both the 100 fly and 100 back at the 2016 Colorado Girls 5A State Championships.

“I chose CSU because I fell in love with the city of Ft. Collins, the coaching staff and the team. I immediately felt like I was a part of a family, and that was exactly what I was looking for in a program! The coaches genuinely care about developing you, not only as an athlete, but as a person.”

Chatman swims year-round for Altitude Performance Swim Team in Colorado Springs. She was a finalist in the 100m back at the Western Zone Sectionals in Austin, Texas at the end of March, 2016. She also competed in the 100/200m free, 200m back, and 100m fly. Chatman wrapped up the long course season at Mt. Hood Sectionals, competing in the 100 free, 100/200 back, and 100 fly.

  • 50 back – 27.49
  • 100 back – 57.57
  • 200 back – 2:10.10
  • 100 fly – 58.80
  • 50 free – 25.06
  • 100 free – 54.06
