Movember, Cornell Swim and Dive In the midst of a wave of swimming related charity fundraiser events, the Cornell Men’s Swimming and Diving team in Ithaca, New York is adding another.

Most men’s swim teams have heard of No Shave November. Cornell’s team is taking it one step further, teaming up with an international charity organization to take part in Movember.

The rules are simple:

– grow out your mustache

– shave everything else on your face

The organization focuses on a broad list of men’s health issues and strives to not only raise awareness, but to aid in the fight against them. Movember is raising both money and awareness for: prostate cancer aid and research, testicular cancer aid and research, as well as striving to provided help for those men who may struggle with a mental illness. The team is currently in the process of fuzzying up their upper lips and any donations help. They encourage anyone to participate, be it personally or with the team, to raise money for the cause and reiterate that it is never too late to start the ‘stache.
