Diving coach Chelsea Popplewell on Buhlig:  “Halley comes has a great acrobatic and diving background. She has a knack for getting in the water cleanly and that’s something that I really value. She has a lot of raw talent and will bring some really good depth to our team. Her energy and attitude is just what we’re looking for here at CSU.”

Madison Hunter | Fort Collins, Colo. | Fort Collins HS | Fort Collins Area Swim Team (FAST)

Hunter is a hometown product who has excelled in a variety of freestyle and IM events. At Fort Collins High School, she earned honorable mention all-conference honors and several academic accolades, including being named to the CHSAA Academic All-State First Team. She is also a National Honors Society and Math Honors Society member. She swam for the Fort Collins Area Swim Team under coach Michael Novell.

Head coach Woody Woodard on Hunter: “We are thrilled that Madi Hunter chose to stay close to home and continue her career as a Ram. Madi is a smart, disciplined student-athlete who has developed a diverse event list under the guidance of FAST coach Mike Novell and his staff. She will boost our endurance group depth, not only with her talent, but with her positive work ethic and attitude.”

Hope Jestes | Prosper, Texas | Prosper HS | Texas Ford Aquatics

Jestes was a standout at Prosper High School and competed at the Texas UIL 5A state swim meet three consecutive years. Jestes is a freestyle and IM swimmer and named MVP at her high school in 2016-17. She was also a Speedo Sectional Series qualifier every year since 2013 as a member of the Texas Ford Aquatics club, where she was coached by Dan McDonough.

Head coach Woody Woodard on Jestes: “Hope Jestes impressed our staff with her maturity as well as her ability. This endurance swimmer from Texas Ford Aquatics has polished strokes and great strength due to the mentoring of coach Dan McDonough. We know that Hope is going provide our program with another weapon in our distance-free arsenal.”

Hadley Templin | Castle Pines, Colo. | Regis Jesuit HS | Denver Swim Academy

Templin is strong in backstroke and freestyle and was a four-time state qualifier. She was also a western zone sectional qualifier. Templin is the younger sister of former CSU swimmer Lydia Templin.

Head coach Woody Woodard on Templin: “Hadley Templin continues the family tradition of swimming Templins at CSU. Hadley comes to us from Denver Swim Academy and has become a strong mid-distance freestyle and backstroke specialist. Our staff felt as though Hadley has some untapped potential and we believe that with some power and speed work she can become a solid contributor to our program.”
