On day two of the 2015 Big 12 Championships Licon dropped a huge 1:41.67 in the 200 IM to break the previous Texas record of 1:41.92 set by Olympic gold medallist Ricky Berens back at the 2009 NCAA Championships. Not only was it a school record, but it doubled as the Big 12 record, which was also held by Berens with the same 1:41.92.
After one day of competition both the Texas men and women are in the lead. On the women’s side they’re leading over Iowa State 80-68. The men are only up by two points against their closet competitors, the Texas Christian University, 117-115.
