NCAA Division II program California State University-East Bay has received a commitment from Chenoa Bodero for this fall. Bodero is from nearby Livermore, California where she swims for the Livermore Aqua Cowboys as well as attending Granada High School.
Bodero is very versatile, with impressive times across a wide range of events. Some of her best times come from last March when she competed at the Central California Juanita Allington Memorial Meet. Her best showings came in the 200 fly (2:03.32) and 400 IM (4:29.01). She also competed at the Western Zone Senior Championships last summer. At this meet she earned second swims in the 100 fly, 200 fly, and 200 IM, swimming best times in both the 100 fly and 200 IM.
I believe that I can improve and reach future goals at Cal State East Bay while receiving a great education. During my visit I really enjoyed the campus and the girls on the team. I also like the coaching style and how they truly care about the individuals on the team.

Bodero will be a huge pickup for the Pioneers after she arrives on campus this fall. With her best times she would have qualified for the A-finals of the 100/200 fly and 200/400 IM at the 2020 Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships last month. Her best time in the 200 fly would have earned her selection to compete at the 2020 NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships. CSU-East Bay will be represented by three swimmers at the meet this year including Victoria Zukeran who will be competing in the 200 fly.
She will also be joined by Abby Davis this fall as a member of the class of 2024.
