Cael McLaren, a current high school senior from Sugar Grove, Illinois, has committed to swim for D1 Davidson College. McLaren will graduate from high school in May 2020 and join Davidson College’s class of 2024 under the coaching of John Young.
McLaren will be joining older brother and current sophomore at Davidson, Ty McLaren. At Davidson, Ty McLaren swims IM and freestyle, while younger brother Cael looks to make contributions to Davidson in the IM and breaststroke events.
McLaren currently swims for the Academy Bullets Swim Club and recently became a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

With his current best times, McLaren would have placed just outside of finals at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.
McLaren will begin his swimming career at the Davidson beginning in the fall of 2020.
