High School

Coming out of high school, Vanessa Pearl was a 2x UIL Texas 6A state champion in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 IM (2018). She was a US National Team Member in 2017-18 and a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

Vanessa pearl was #6 on SwimSwam’s Top 20 NCAA Recruit’s for the class of 2018, and #4 on the Re-rank of that class. On May 31, 2017, Vanessa Pearl announced her verbal commitment to Florida.

College (Florida)

2018-19

Vanessa Pearl made an immediate impact at Florida. At the SEC Championships, Pearl finished 2nd in the 400 IM (4:03.56), 4th in the 200 IM (1:53.98) and 6th in the 200 breast (2:08.51). She was also a member of Florida’s 3rd place 200 medley relay and 6th place 400 medley relay.

As a rookie at the NCAA Championships, Pearl placed 15th in the 200 IM (1:56.95), 24th in the 200 breast (2:09.69) and 24th in 400 IM (4:09.98), and was part of the 10th place 400 medley relay, 13th place 400 medley relay and 19th place 200 medley relay teams.
