Rahul Chokshi

Rahul Chokshi:

Rahul was born and raised in Ahmedabad, India where he swam for Gujarat State Swim Team and attended Ahmedabad International School.  While in school, he won three gold medals in the 100 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM at the 2011 National School Games, and medaled at this meet all four years of school.  Rahul has continued his career at Duke training with the fly group.

Club:

Rahul was a part of Gujarate State Swim Team where he swam for Kamlesh Nanavati and Nihar Ameen.  For his club team, Rahul was a silver medalist in the 400 yard free relay at the 2011 Malaysian Open Swimming Championships (courtesy of goduke.com). He also won six silver medals and a bronze at the Junior National Aquatic Championships in 2011 and broke two national meet records in the 200 and 400 IM.  During the 2012 FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships Rahul represented India

2013-2014:

During his freshman year, Rahul had best times in the 100 fly and 200 fly at the Cavalier Invitational and Nike Cup respectively.

Personal:

Rahul is a part of Pratt School of Engineering where he is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.  After graduating, Rahul would like to use his education to contribute to the advancement of technological infrastructure in India, helping to bring the country up to the level of some of the top countries in the world.
