Born Jan. 24, 1994 Brumm was a back-to-back state champion in the 100 butterfly, and two-time MVP. Brumm is an excellent writer – he’s currently a student in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and was a National Art and Writing Gold and Silver Key recipient in high school. Brumm was collegeswimming.com’s 38th-ranked recruit in the class of 2012, and one of the top in the state of North Carolina. Brumm’s commitment added to a Michigan class full of top butterfliers including Dylan Bosch. Although he was primarily recruited to swim butterfly, Brumm’s times were competitive in the freestyle events as well. He wasn’t on a national-contending relay his freshman year, but by his sophomore season Brumm was swimming on four relays at the NCAA meet.
