Michael Sanders

Michael SandersMichael started swimming at the ripe age of 6 with a small neighborhood team.  When he turned 8, a three sport athlete at the time, he started year-round swimming.  Eventually he let go of the other sports and focused his career on swimming.  Growing over the next few years he qualified for his first NCSA Junior National meet at the age of 14 and was ranked 1st in the Nation with his teammates in the 800 Free Relay for their age group.  Qualifying for USA Swimming Junior Nationals at 15, he was a strong distance and IM swimmer.  He began his collegiate career at Limestone College, a NCAA Division II school in SC, and swam there for two years breaking the school record in the 1000 freestyle and contributing many points to the team at the conference level.  He decided to no longer swim after two years and has stayed at Limestone to be their meet manager.

When not starting at Meet Manager, Team Manager, Colorado System 5 or 6, Michael likes to enjoy long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners.  Avid fan of anything and everything swimming, he spends the rest of his free time searching swimming results and new stories while studying full time at Limestone to pursue his degree in Athletic Training.  He plans to go on and become a physicians assistant specializing in orthopedic injuries with a concentration on overhead athletes, i.e. swimmers.
