Grant Rogers
Grant Rogers is a butterfly and IM specialist in his senior year at the University of Texas. Born to James and Mary Rogers on June 18, 1992, Rogers grew up in the Missouri Valley in the state of Kansas. Rogers is pursuing a degree in business, which he had planned to study even in high school. He was a member of Young Life and Future Business Leaders of America at Washburn Rural High School where he was on the Outstanding Honor Roll all four years in high school. Rogers has continued to excel in the classroom, considering that he has been a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll nearly every semester as a Longhorn.

University of Texas
2011-2012
During his freshman season Rogers competed at the Texas Invite where he finished 15th in the 200 butterfly, 23rd in the 400 IM and 28th in the 200 IM. He then competed at the American Short Course Championships, finishing sixth in the 200 IM, 10th in the 100 butterfly and 10th in the 200 butterfly.

2012-2013
Rogers’ sophomore season he competed at the Big 12 Championships for the first time. He swam the 200 IM exhibition in a best time, the 400 IM exhibition and the 200 butterfly exhibition.

2013-2014
He competed in exhibition events at the Big 12 Championships.

National Competition
Rogers made a big impact in his home state of Kansas. He holds the Missouri Valley record in the 400 IM, and was the Kansas state champion in the 200 IM his junior and senior year. He also owns a state championships in the 100 butterfly in his junior season in the 100 backstroke as a freshman.
