Emre Sakci is a Turkish swimmer who specializes in breaststroke. Sakci made a splash in the swimming scene when he won a silver medal in the 50 breast at the 2019 European short course championships, Turkey’s first ever.

2020 ISL Budapest Bubble

In his debut season in the International Swimming League, Sakci competed for Team Iron and made a big impact. In his first ISL race, he beat out Adam Peaty in the 50 breast, touching in 25.74. In the same meet, he also placed 6th in the 100 free and 3rd in the 100 breast. He went on to go undefeated in the 50 breast, win every breaststroke skins race he competed in (2 rounds, 6 races total), and log 3 wins and a 2nd place in the 100 breast.

2020 Swammy Awards

For his performances in the Budapest bubble, Emre Sakci earned the 2020 Swammy Award for Breakout Male of the Year.
