Elizabeth Conte

Through hard work and dedication, Elizabeth Conte has proven she is an asset to the UNC Asheville Women’s Swim Team. After just her freshman season Conte has been utilized as a sprint freestyler, scoring valuable individual and relay points.

Conte grew up in Chapel Hill, NC with her parents and siblings Andrew, Madeline and Caroline. She first put on her cap and goggles in fourth grade, swimming on a summer league team. Swimming for Northwood High School Conte enjoy much success. She was awarded the Coaches Award twice and the Most Improved Award. She began swimming for North Carolina Aquatic Club where she received the Coaches Award and Most Improved Award.

Conte excelled academically where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society. UNC Asheville was the right fit academically and athletically for Conte, where she has continued to prosper.

During the regular season, Conte improved upon her her times to score for the Bulldogs. At the 2016 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Conference Championships she raced the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle. Conte earned a best time in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall at 24.95. She was just tenths off of her other lifetime best times in the 100 and 200 freestyle.

 

Looking forward to next season, Conte is excited to develop her sprinting and race for the UNC Asheville Bulldogs.
