Colleen Konetzke

Colleen Konetzke
Colleen Konetzke, originally from San Antonio, Texas, is a Wisconsin transfer currently attending Texas A&M. Born May 11, 1994 Konetzke graduated from Reagan High School, where she’s a school record holder and former Texas state champion. She’s been swimming since the age of 7 because her parents wanted her to be confident around water, but she was raised in an athletic family where she ran cross country and played the violin. Her mother, Carol, was a basketball player at St. Mary’s University in California. The 5’8″ Business major has had seven relatives attend Texas A&M, but she chose to transfer to the university due to its great business and swim programs. Although Konetzke came out of the Alamo Area Aquatics Association, she began trianing with the San Antonio Wave, where she was initially a breaststroke specialist. Now primarily a freestyle swimmer, she focuses on the mid-distance events including the 200 and 500 freestyle.
