Cameron Stitt
Born March 10, 1995 Cameron Stitt is a distance swimmer from Portland, Ore. Stitt is currently a sophomore at the University of Michigan, where he is studying within the College of Engineering. He also comes from a family of swimmers – both of his parents, Alan and Kathy, were swimmers at Pacific Lutheran University in the late 1970’s through the early ’80’s. Stitt graduated from Sunset High School, where he was a four-time state champion in the 500 freestyle, but he also excelled in club swimming – competing for Tualatin Hills Swim Club Stitt qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. At Michigan Stitt has already made the Dean’s List in winter 2013, earned University Honors and earned the U-M Athletic Academic Achievement. According to his LinkedIn profile, Stitt also apparently is a frequent visitor to the Mott Children’s Hospital, and also speaks Spanish.

2013-2014
As a freshman Stitt traveled to the NCAA Championships in place of a relay alternate. He made a quick impact the Big Ten Championships, finishing eighth in the mile, 12th in the 400 IM, and 22nd in the 500 freestyle. He also had two finishes within the top 20 at the AT&T Winter Nationals in the 400 IM and the mile.
2014-2015
Stitt is currently in his sophomore season as a Michigan Wolverine. He did not qualify for the NCAA meet, but he finished 10th in the 400 IM, 12th in the 1,650 freestyle, and 13th in the 500 freestyle at the Big Ten Championships.
National Competition
Stitt was a four-year varsity swimmer at Sunset High, where he was a five-time District champion alongside his four state championships in the 500 freestyle. He set the 6A State record in the 500 twice, as a junior and senior. Stitt qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, the 2011 USA Swimming Winter Nationals and the USA Swimming Junior Nationals.
