Martin Hammer Breaks Norwegian Record With 22.75 In 50 Free

University of Tampa swimmer Martin Hammer set a new Norwegian national record at the Norwegian National Championships this morning. He broke his own record and finished first in the men’s 50 freestyle with a time of 22.75, barely breaking his previous record of 22.77. Hammer set his previous record at the Settecoli Trophy meet which took place in Rome, Italy from June 24-26.

The Latvian Olympic Committee officially announced the members of their Olympic swimming team at a press conference yesterday. Latvian national team swimmers Uvis Kalnins and Alona Ribakova were confirmed eligible to participate in the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janerio by FINA.
