Arthur Conover Wins 1650 D3 Title, Now Holds Only 2 Sub-15:00 D3 Swims

DIVISION III MEN’S SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Kenyon‘s Arthur Conover, who became the first Division III swimmer to ever break the 15-minute mark in the mile, dipped under that barrier for the 2nd time today as he won the D3 national title. Conover, who became the first D3 man under 4:20 in the 500 free earlier at this meet, has had an outstanding weekend, raking in loads of points for Kenyon.

His time today was 14:59.56 to eclipse the meet record (which he held previously) by nearly two seconds. Conover’s D3 record, meanwhile is the 14:56.44 that he swam back in December, his first time under 15:00.
