Arkansas Razorbacks Pick Up Butterflier Taylor Weiss

The Arkansas Razorbacks picked up their most recent verbal commitment from butterfier, Taylor Weiss. Weiss swims for Stingray Swimming out of Georgia. Butterfly is her strongest stroke, with best times at 55.42 in the 100 and 2:01.96. She will most likely swim the 200 IM as a third event, as well. She placed third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 butterfly at the Class AAAAAA Georgia State Championships as a junior.

Weiss was named “2013 Swimmer Of The Year” by the Cherokee Tribune.

The Razorbacks are graduating seven seniors this year. Four of the seven women swim in Taylor Weiss’s events. With a large class graduating, Taylor Weiss will have big shoes to fill. She could be a huge asset to the team as a freshman with her current times, although she is expected to swim well in her senior season after a good year of training, according to the Cherokee Tribune.
