Anna Miller, Caroline Lecoeur Named MVC Women’s Swimmer & Diver of the Week

Miller a senior, put on a performance for the ages during her last home meet at Hammons Student Center as she led the MSU to a 155-70 win over Little Rock. Miller won both the 50 freestyle (22.85) and 100 freestyle (49.68) in pool record times. In addition to being pool records, both times were MVC bests this season. In relay events, she anchored the 200 medley relay team that took first with a pool record time of 1:42.11 while also swimming in the 400 freestyle relay where the Bears also took first with a pool record time of 3:23.74.

Senior standout Caroline Lecoeur picked up right where she left on the boards in her first outing of the 2020-21 season this weekend, as the Redbirds topped Valparaiso, 178-35. Lecoeur swept the 1- and 3-meter events, collecting 18 total points for the Redbirds, turning in NCAA Zone qualifying scores of 291.23 and 295.20, respectively. With the pair of wins, Lecoeur has now swept both diving events in six meets during her four-year career.
