Alex Jordan Wins Scottish Coach Of The Year

Alex Jordan of the Borders Elite Swim Team has earned the Scottish Coach of Year award. Jordan who is originally from Brisbane is the Head Coach of the Borders Elite Swim Team which is made up of seven member clubs Duns, Gala, Hawick, Jedforest, Kelso, Peebles and Teviotdale Swimming Clubs.

In the last year the team experienced it’s greatest amount of success 17 Scottish age group records and 55 district records.

The team’s top swimmer Lucy Hope made the British Junior Team for the 2013 European Junior Championships where she collected a silver as part of the women’s 4 x 100 freestyle relay team. Hope also qualified for the final in the women’s 200 backstroke.
