ACC Women’s Day 2 Up/Downs

Big thanks to Morgan Priestley for compiling these numbers:

For those unfamiliar with the terminology: “Up” means a swimmer who is in the A-final, as those swimmers cannot fall lower than 8th barring a DQ. “Down”is what we’ll call teams in the “B” final, who are bound from 9th-16th places.

Scoring for a 16-place meet: 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11/9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, and then doubled for relays.

No surprise, as Virginia earned 12 out of the 24 possible A-final spots in swimming on the meet’s first day. North Carolina, who’s playing a little bit of catchup in the battle for 2nd-place at this meet after a relay DQ on Tuesday, grabbed three A-finalists and will have 9 swimming scorers for tonight.

A reminder of the scores after 1 day and the tables for tonight’s finals sessions. We’ve included C-Finals just for informational purposes, they’re not scored at this meet. We will update the list after diving is complete.
