8:10, The Story of British Swimming Success at Barcelona 2003 – Documentary Film

On the eve of the 2013 FINA World Championships pool competition, this documentary film is very timely.

Many thanks to Pullbuoy, a self-described swim fan (on Twitter) from Cambridge, for providing this content.

From Pullbuoy’s Vimeo account:

In 2003 Britain’s swimmers won a then record 8 medals at the World Swimming Championships in Barcelona. Ten years on, using exclusive new interviews, 8:10 tells the story of how those medals were won, in the words of the swimmers who won them.

I made this film, so I’m really pleased to hear that you liked it – thanks for your kind words 🙂

Like Keith, I can’t believe it was 10 years ago either!

Loved it! I wish wish wish that there were more documentaries like this out there from other swim champions. Hey SwimSwam…..maybe this is a direction you could head towards and really make it yours? Something to chew on. Thank you for posting this. It was spectacular.

Great video. The UK has had promising results at most World Champs in the last decade but has had difficulty translating that same level of success to the Olympic Games bar 2008 mainly thanks to Adlington and the Open Water Swimmers.

Hard to believe it’s been 10 years already. Seems like yesterday.
