5 Air Force Women To Compete In National Invite Championships

Five members of the Air Force women’s swimming team will compete in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championships, March 8-10, at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md.

The NIC provides a culminating event for those Division I swimmers that have achieved NCAA standards, but were not selected for the NCAA Division I Championships.

Senior team captains Jinan Andrews and Elise Hart lead the way for the Falcons. Andrews will compete in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free. The native of Sussex, N.J., holds the school record in the 100 free (49.72), ranks second in the 50 free (22.95) and fourth in the 200 free (1:49.41). Hart will compete in the 50 free, 100 fly and 100 back. The native of Cartersville, Ga., holds the school record in the 100 fly (53.59), ranks third in the 50 free (23.19) and second in the 100 back (54.97).

Two sophomores and a freshman round out the Falcons’ contingent at the NIC. Sophomore Tianna Jorgenson will compete in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly.  Jorgenson ranks sixth in school history in the 100 free (50.99) and eighth in the 100 fly (56.07). Sophomore Autumn Wolfgramm will swim the 50 free, 100 free and 100 back.

Freshman Kylie Stronko will swim the 100 back and 200 back. Stronko broke both the 100 (54.92) and 200 back (1:54.43) Academy records in her rookie campaign.

The five will also combine to swim the 200 medley relay, the 200 free relay, and the 400 free relay.
