Paulina Nogaj (22.67), Morgan Waggoner (22.25), Rachel Schiffli (23.06), and Sarah Waton combined to swim a new personal best in the event. From that relay, Nogaj went on to win the women’s 200 IM in 1:59.03, touching as the only swimmer in the field to break 2:00. Waggoner went on to win the women’s 50 free, finishing in 23.01. Waggoner had swum slightly faster in prelims, where she posted a 22.99.

Cincy’s Noah Smith also broke the meet record in the men’s 500 free, where he swam a 4:25.81. Smith swam away with the race, touching first by 5 seconds. Rudy Aguilar of Oakland was in the B final, but was the only other swimmer in finals to crack 4:30, touching the wall in 4:29.84.

Paige Dacosta, a Cornell freshman, won the men’s 200 IM with a speedy 1:45.10, breaking yet another meet record. Dacosta was fast on the backstroke split, turning in a 26.15 on that 50. Cornell’s Jack Mahoney broke the meet record in the men’s 50 free, where he clocked a 19.95, taking the record under 2o seconds.
