Women’s Ups/Downs
There was no stopping the Emory Eagles on Day Three of the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Championships. They gained 50 points picking up spots in all three individual swimming events, further extending their lead over the rest of the field. Williams and Rose-Hulman also wound up in positive territory, but the zero-sum game nature of the scoring meant that Emory’s +50 meant an aggregate -50 for a number of other teams. The Eagles’ pickup translated into 5 A finalists and 4 B finalists. Williams had a strong morning, too, with 4 up and 2 down, giving the Ephs a more secure hold on the #2 team position.
