The first stage of the 2017 FFN Golden Tour Camille Muffat kicks off on Friday, February 3rd at the Jean Bouin pool in Nice. This one of three stops of the tour, which follows the same cities as last year. The 2017 stages are:

  • Nice – Friday, February 3rd – Sunday, February 5th
  • Marseille – Friday, March 3rd – Sunday, March 5th
  • Amiens – Friday, April 28th – Sunday, April 30th

The participation at the first Golden Tour stop is a little lighter than 2016, an Olympic year, but several high-profile athletes are still scheduled to appear. Hungarian #IronLady Katinka Hosszu is among the expected participants, coming off her monster multi-event siege at the Euro Meet in Luxembourg last week. Included in her performance was a newly-minted Euro Meet Record in the women’s 200m IM in a mark of 2:10.46. History tells us Hosszu will undertake a typical jam-packed schedule in Nice this weekend.

London Olympic medalist, 21-year-old Charlotte Bonnet will join 2015 100m backstroke World Championships silver medalist Camille Lacourt as key players among the home country contingency, one which is missing sprinting mainstay Florent Manaudou as he follows his new handball endeavor.

French-trained Jeremy Desplanches, who represents Switzerland, is also expected to make an appearance. Desplanches is coming off of a double medal-clinching performance from the Euro Meet, where he snagged 100m breaststroke silver behind Britain’s Adam Peaty, while also scoring gold as the winner of the 200m IM.

The LIVE results from this meet are … different. Not so easy to follow the status. Livestreaming of the scoreboard and pool commentary would be OK.
