Commentators Rowdy Gaines and Jason Knapp recap the final night of swimming in Santa Clara, and also touch on what was done around the country over the weekend in what was a very busing one in the world of swimming. They mention how the Australians swam well here and will be formidable opponents in the relays come Rio, but Rowdy mentions the U.S. always seems to step up at the Olympic Games.

Among swims from other competitions that were mentioned, Gaines mentions David Plummer‘s 100 back time of 52.40 in Indianapolis, making him #1 in the world. He also mentions Leah Smith, who had a very successful weekend with three wins of her own in Indianapolis, including a personal best time in the 200 free. They also note 2012 Olympic champions Missy Franklin and Allison Schmitt, who are both finding their form heading into the Olympic Trials. Both of them swam at the Longhorn Elite Invite this weekend in Austin, along with Michael Phelps.
