2016 Arena Pro Swim Series – Indianapolis: Day 3 Scratch Report

June 5th, 2016 – Indianapolis, IN – a lot of scratches on the women’s side on day 3 of the Arena Pro Series meet.

Today’s events included 200 Individual Medley, 200 backstroke, 100 Free and the women 800 free and mens 1500 free.

For the 200 IM only 2 women scratched in the top 8: Rebecca Postoll and Siobhan Haughey– they were ranked 7th and 8th respectively. No scratches were made in the mens 200 IM.

In the 200 backstroke, on the women side there was a few big contenders that scratched. Clara Smiddy, who was seeded 3rd and went a 2:12.06, Hannah Stevens (2:13.24) – she was 5th, and Alice Treuth who was tied for 8th and went a 2:14.18.

And for the men- Carter Griffin who was ranked 3rd with a 2:00.50, and he scratched. As did Tristan Sanders (2:01.04 – 4th) and Jay Litherland (2:03.71- 8th) both scratched the event as well.

In the 100 freestyle, 3 women in the top 8 scratched, and they were 6th, 7th and 8th seed, Veronica Burchill, Siobhan Haughey (second scratch of the day) and Trude Rothrock.

Michael Chadwick, who was tied for 5th place with a time of 50.02 scratched the 100 freestyle as well.
