After the completion of two days of competition in the lanes, plus all of the diving scores, Stanford holds a shrinking 47-point lead over Cal. In finals, Cal has an extra 6 swimmers into A-finals, but Stanford has an extra 5 as compared to their Bay Area rivals in B-finals. That math works out to where, depending on where everyone falls within their respective finals, this meet should be close to tied headed into the final day of competition.

Meanwhile, Arizona should break open their 3rd-place tie with USC thanks to depth in the day 3 events (they had four ‘ups’ in the 200 free alone, to make 10 total for the day). Arizona, though, has a great shot at winning the 400 medley relay after breaking the Meet Record in the 200 medley on Wednesday.

And at the bottom of the standings, Cal Poly with three B-finalists should have their best day yet at this meet, and will try and pull close to UCSB for 7th place.
