Jacoby, who swims for the Seward Tsunami Swim Club, led the way with the event win in 1:08.12 (31.96/36.16). She jumps to No. 6 in 15-16 history, tying Ellie Andrews‘ swim from the 2019 U.S. National Championships last week. Jacoby’s best time entering the meet was 1:08.81 from last week.
Weber, representing the Unversity of Denver Hilltoppers, took second in 1:08.73, splitting 32.35/36.28. That time puts her at No. 12 in the age group all-time. Weber’s swim took over a second-and-a-half off her prelims time, which had been her best time.
Finishing fourth overall and representing Springfield Aquatics was Brouwer in 1:09.33 (32.83/36.50). She’s now the No. 18 15-16 performer in history. Her prior best time of 1:09.78 was from mid-July.
The three were already the top three 15-year-old girls in the U.S. this season (Jacoby-Brouwer-Weber), and remain the top three in the order of Tuesday’s swims. Megan Kendrick‘s 19-year-old national age group record stands at 1:07.05.
