Xavier Swimming Releases 2015-16 Schedule

CINCINNATI – Xavier swimming announced the schedule for the 2015-16 season, facing off with high-powered programs in the region as they prepare for a third trip to the BIG EAST Championships next February.

After hosting an alumni meet on Sept. 26, the Musketeers open the season at the Butler Quad Meet, held at Fishers High School in Fishers, Ind. on Oct. 4, with events starting at noon.

Xavier travels to Louisville for its first dual meet, taking on the Cardinals at 2:00 p.m. The Musketeers return to the Cincinnati area the next weekend, traveling to UC to face the Bearcats and Cleveland State on Oct. 16, then travel to Oxford the next day to face Miami.

The Musketeers close out the fall dual meets by facing West Virginia and Seton Hall at WVU on Oct. 23-24, then travel to Denison on Nov. 7. The Musketeers will then travel to the Magnus Cup at Cleveland State over the weekend of Nov 20 -22 before heading into an extended break.

After the semester break, the Musketeers travel to IUPUI on Jan. 8 to start off the final home-stretch of preparation for the BIG EAST Championship. Xavier finishes out the schedule with a trip to the Butler Invite at Fishers High School on Jan. 24, a home meet with Akron on Jan. 29 and trip to Wright State on Jan. 30.

The Musketeers will then prepare for their third trip to the BIG EAST Championships, held from Feb. 24 to Feb 27 in the Nassau Aquatic Center in Long Island, N.Y. The Musketeer men look to collect a third-straight conference championship, while the women look to repeat the strong performances that earned a pair of third-place finishes in Xavier’s first two years in the BIG EAST.
