WATCH: Stanford Women Come Within Tenths of American Record in 400 Free Relay

The Stanford women’s 400 free relay seem on an almost inevitable path toward the American Record in the 400 free relay. On Saturday night at the 2014 Art Adamson Invitational, they swam a 3:10.77, which is just off of the 3:10.63 done by Arizona at the 2013 NCAA Championships.

The bigger question is if they’ll get to the 2013 U.S. Open (aka, all-time fastest) record done by Georgia at that same meet in 3:09.40 – which included Canadian Chantal van Landeghem.
