VIDEOS: Florida’s Cieslak, deBorde, Beisel speak after senior day victory

After Florida’s crushing victory over Auburn on senior day, GatorVision caught up with three influential Gator seniors: Marcin Cieslak, Bradley deBorde and Elizabeth Beisel.

The interview is below, with the official Florida Senior Day video added above.

The trio talk about their emotions as their final NCAA seasons wind down as well as their reactions to the meet with Auburn. There’s some tidbits there about the Gators’ preparation for SECs and NCAAs, but Cieslak was pretty coy when asked about year-end predictions for the #3-ranked men’s and women’s teams in the nation.

Gregg Troy also spoke after the meet, talking about the tight relay races with Auburn and the impact of the senior class. Troy talked a little about Florida’s resting plans for SECs, but predictably didn’t give much away with his answer:

Our little Liz Beisel is all grown up!! Seems like just yesterday when she made PanPacs at age 13 in the 200 back. Glad she’s still going strong almost a decade later and on track for another her 4th Pan Pacs and Rio beyond. Wonder what she’ll swim at NCAA’s? 400IM and probably 200 back, but so many options for her 2nd and 3rd events. Hoping she’ll be able to go pro and settle in for protected post-grad training between now and the end of her career.

I’m really hoping she does the 500, 4IM and then the mile. I’m not sure she can go all the way down to where the leaders are going to be in the 200 Back. But I know she can make a run into the top 3 in the mile.
