Video Interview: Katerine Savard – From CIS To Canadian Trials

Katerine Savard has been one of the most dominant swimmers in Canada the past few seasons, taking absolute control of the fly events. This year, she started her freshman season at the University of Montreal in order to swim collegiately in the CIS.

At the CIS Championships Savard was arguably the best swimmer, taking down some of Canada’s best collegiate competitors in order to earn herself a plentiful portion of gold.

She’s added the freestyles to her list of swims, previously only swimming the flys. This weekend at Canadian trials she’ll be adding the freestyle swims to her program in hopes of making a few of Canada’s relays. On top of that, she’s entered in all three butterflies.

This morning, Savard finaled in the 50 fly where she’s one of the favourites to win.
