From our event recap:

China’s team of Si Yajie and Tai Xiaohu combined to win the Mixed Synchro 10-meter Platform Diving event on the second day of the 2015 FINA World Aquatics Championships.

The Chinese duo scored nearly straight 8s and 9s throughout the five rounds, including an 82-point final dive that put their win on ice.

The video includes their 3rd- and 5th-round dives, each of which topped 80 total points.

The Chinese team of Si and Tai finished with 350.88 points, about 40 ahead of silver medal-winning Canada.

Canada’s team was made up of Meaghan Benfeito and Vincent Riendeau. Australia’s Domonic Bedggood and Melissa Wu brought home bronze, trailing the Canadians by just over a point.

Canada led that battle by a wide margin early, but the Australians began to creep back in over the final 3 dives. The Aussies scored over 70 points on each of those last three dives, but Canada hit a 74-pointer in the final round to officially clinch second.

Just outside the medal stand were Korea’s team of Hyon II and Kim, and the hometown Russian duo of Shleikher and Timoshinina.
