US Open Water Nats slated for April in Miromar Lakes, Florida

The United States Open Water National Championships come early this year, taking place on April 24th and 16th in Miromar Lakes, Florida.

The 10K races will be on Friday the 24th, with the women kicking off at 8:00 AM and the men following at 10:30 AM. After Saturday’s off-day, the 5K races will happen on Sunday the 26th. For that race, the genders reverse, with the men taking off a 8:00 AM and the women going at 9:30 AM.

The races will be hosted at the Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club in Miromar Lakes. Entries are due by April 14th.

Miromar Lakes also hosted the 2012 Open Water Nationals, which were also the last edition of the event to be held in the month of April. This will also mark the 4th Open Water Nationals in a row to be held in a lake, rather than an ocean-type setting.
