Swim Job: South Jersey Aquatic Club seeks Senior Group Coach

South Jersey Aquatic Club seeking a part time coach to work with our Senior group.

Twitter.jpgThe South Jersey Aquatic Club (SJAC) is in its first year as a purely USA Swimming club. The team has existed for over 15 years through it’s affiliation with various YMCA’s in New Jersey. SJAC has produced numerous Junior and National qualifiers over the past several years and has consistently been in the top 100 in the USA Swimming Short Course Virtual Championships.

The team currently has over 230 swimmers and 12 coaches. We are practicing out of 3 sites at this time but will be moving into the brand new state of the art facility at the Nexxt Level Aquatic Center in Voorhees, NJ, at the end of October 2015. This facility will house a 25 Yard by 25 meter pool with a top of the line filtration and timing system. The facility will also provide us access to personal trainers who will help run our dryland program, as well as have on site physical therapists.

Our Senior group is for high school aged swimmers who are serious about conditioning and continual improvement. Technique and training are highly emphasized in this group with the goal of qualifying for LSC championship meets, in addition to higher level meets. This is a part-time position.

Qualifications

1 – Hard working and enthusiastic
2 – Have a strong understanding of stroke mechanics and training principles
3 – Have/be will to secure all required USA Swimming certifications
4 – Have passed all background checks
5 – Must have prior coaching experience (preferably in the 14 & up age group level)

Requirements

1 – Attend all group workouts as scheduled (6 per week)
2 – Attend all meets as scheduled
3 – Work with the group head coach to design/implement training program.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience and start date is as soon as possible.
