JOB DESCRIPTION

Graduate Assistant Swimming Coach – Women’s Swimming, Concordia University

CUI is seeking a Graduate Assistant Coach for our Women’s Swimming team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities will include duties to assist the coaching staff with all aspects of the program, including planning and implementation of daily practices, on-deck coaching of pool and dry land workouts, monitoring academic progress of team members, recruiting potential student athletes. and competition day management including travel to away meets.

REQUIREMENTS

Preferred candidate must have competitive swimming experience at the collegiate level, some coaching desirable but not necessary, a Bachelor’s degree and must be accepted into one of CUI’s graduate programs. A list of graduate programs at CUI may be found at http://www.cui.edu/academicprograms/graduate/ Candidate must have a strong commitment to academic success as well as a clear understanding and commitment to the NCAA DII philosophy and the role of intercollegiate athletics within the University mission.

Start date will be August 24, 2015.

ABOUT CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY- IRVINE

Concordia University is a small, private school located in Irvine, California. In 2015 the Men and Women placed 4th at the NAIA National Championships with 21 All-Americans and 1 individual National Champion. Both teams earned Team Scholar awards and we had 10 Academic All-Americans. CUI is in the transitional period of applying to the NCAA Division II. We seek someone who desires an experience at a Christian college and can help student-athletes grow and improve.
