…USA Swimming has set a date for a hearing with CUBU Swim Club founder Rick Curl for September 19th, after the completion of the USA Swimming convention this week in Greensboro. Typically, hearings are held on a much shorter turnaround than this, but this case has seen some bigger complications than a typical case of its kind…

Millions of dollars worth of furniture used to outfit the Olympic Games, from press room equipment, beds from the athletes’ village, common-area furniture, and even referees chairs, has to be disposed of some how. Rather than throwing it all away, organizers are actually selling it to the public. …The Chinese University Games kicked off today in Zhejiang, China, and the biggest swim on the first day was two-time Olympic Champion and World Record holder Sun Yang. He’s taken some big time out of the pool since the Games to make some promotional appearances and relax a little, but he still came out swinging with a 1:47.1 to win the men’s 200 free and break the Meet Record.
