Schedule drops, pre-sale tickets open for 2016 European Championships

The 2016 European Championships are still 8 months away, but the event schedule has been released, and pre-sale tickets go on sale next week.

LEN, the European Swimming Federation, released the event schedule for the 2016 London European Championships last week, highlighted by two new events: mixed synchronized swimming and mixed synchro diving.

The pool swimming portion of the Championships will start a full week into the event, kicking off on Monday, May 16. Swimming will then run for 7 days, though Sunday, May 22nd.

The Championships begin with synchronized swimming (Monday, May 9 – Friday, May 13) and diving (Monday, May 9 – Sunday, May 15).

The pool swimming format features prelims and finals of all races 400 meters and above, and a prelims-semifinals-finals format for all races 200 meters and below. You can view the full schedule here.

The 2016 European Aquatics Championships will begin selling pre-sale tickets next week, but interested buyers must register with the ticket sellers by Saturday night in order to be eligible.

Interested buyers should register at this link by midnight Saturday, September 6 to be eligible to pre-buy tickets. The pre-sale window will open at noon on Tuesday, September 8 and run through noon on Friday, September 11.

General tickets will then go on sale one week later, beginning on Tuesday, September 15.
