Philippines Street Performer Goes for a Swim

H/T to our good buddy Lyle Campbell for sharing this video with us.

Above is a video of a swimmer in Marikina, Philippines going for a swim, in the street. It’s been a rough news week, and I think the entire swimming community needs a good break for laughter right now, and this one, created by Jourdan Sebastian, features the improv comedians Maui Manalo and Miko Pepito.

It appears as though the swimmer is trying some variation of the IM (perhaps the Aussie favorite where swimmers choose their own order) before he’s struck by a cramp, and saved by a lifeguard. It’s a story of dedication, athleticism, and perhaps a little bit of water safety thrown in.

Thanks for the laugh this morning Jourdan, Maui, and Miko, we needed it.
