Nyad “Further North” Than Previous Four Attempts on Sunday Afternoon

As of 4:30 Eastern Time on Sunday afternoon, 64-year old Diana Nyad is further north in her 5th attempt to swim from Havana, Cuba to Key West, Florida.

The current GPS tracking has her over halfway on her 110-mile direct journey, though initially she wasn’t on a direct course, so it will probably end up being a bit longer.

The latest update on her status, which came in about 30 minutes ago, said that at her 1PM feeding break, Nyad “mentioned pressure on her lungs, but no trouble breathing
