NCAA Releases Time Standards For 2016 NCAA Division II Championships

The NCAA Division II qualifying times for the 2015-2016 season were released today by the NCAA. Several changes were made to the time standards, a majority of which are faster than the previous standards that were in place last season.

With every division getting faster, it is not a surprise to see the NCAA Division II time standards lowering as well. Numerous NCAA records were broken throughout the 2014-2015 season, and several swimmers posted times that would have held their own at the NCAA division I Championships this year.

A comparative analysis of how the NCAA time standards have changed over the last few years time will be available shortly.
