Meet Scotland’s Swim Team on Eve of 2014 Commonwealth Games

Swimming at the 2014 Commonwealth Games is set to begin Thursday, July 22nd, from Glasgow, Scotland, and the home Scottish swim team just wanted to introduce themselves.

The Scots placed 5th in the medals table in 2010 with 2 golds, 3 silvers, and a bronze, and with home-field advantage in 2014, they’ll hope to at least repeat, and at best exceed, those totals in 2014.

Among the best medal hopefuls are defending 400 IM champion Hannah Miley, defending 200 free champion Robbie Renwick, and Michael Jamieson, but this is a deeper Scottish roster than they’ll get much pre-meet credit for. If they can get a home crowd behind them, there’s a few opportunities to move up as well.

A reminder of the full announced Scottish roster.
