MEET NOTES: Miami University Women Will Face In-State Rivals Toledo on Senior Day

OXFORD, Ohio—In its final home dual meet, the Miami University women’s swimming and diving team is back in the pool against Toledo on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. in the Nixon Aquatic Center. It will be senior day for the RedHawks who will honor their seven seniors.

The RedHawks try to improve to 6-2 on the season and avoid having a loss in the entire month of January.

Against Ball State last Saturday, the RedHawks were carried by ten individual race wins by eight different members of the team.

Freshman swimmer Holly Schuster and sophomore diver Pei Lin both won two events. Schuster swam a time of 2:23.63 in the 200-yard breaststroke to earn first place. She also tied junior Aubrey Kluth for first place in the 200-yard IM. The pair both clocked in at 2:09.45. Lin won both the one-meter dive (313.58) and the three-meter dive (276.90).

The Rockets are coming into Oxford with a 2-5 dual meet record, with their latest being a 151-147 win over Ohio University. Toledo also competed in the Miami Invitational on Dec. 4-6, where they came in second place. They are led by third-year head coach Chris Peters. He led the Rockets to a sixth-place finish in the MAC Championships last season
