MEET NOTES: Air Force Women Host Colorado State, Men Travel to Denver

Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. at the Cadet Natatorium. Admission is free.

The women’s team is paced by sophomore Genevieve Miller, junior Sara Menke and senior Kim Davis who rank among the conference’s top swimmers.

Miller owns the fastest 500 free (4:43.96),  1000 free (9:52.54) and 1650 free (16:17.20) times in the Mountain West. Her times in the 500 and 1650 are both NCAA “B” cuts.

Davis has the fastest time in the conference in the 400 IM (4:16.20). She also has the third fastest time in the 200 breaststroke (2:14.93) and the fourth fastest in the 200 IM (2:02.19).

Junior Sara Menke ranks third in the Mountain West in the 500 free (4:49.06) and 1000 free (10:05.76).

The men’s team will compete in the Colorado Sprints Championships at the University of Denver, Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m.

Junior Michael Barnosky owns the fastest time in the Western Athletic Conference in the 100 breaststroke (53.84). He is second in the 200 breaststroke (1:59.74).

Junior Kevin Jackson ranks second in the WAC in the 200 free (1:37.14) and the 500 free (4:21.10). The Falcons hold three of the top four spots in the 500 free as senior Alex Strom is third (4:26.09) and sophomore Andrew Faciszewski is fourth (4:27.54).

Sophomore Devon Davis ranks second in the WAC in the 100 back while senior Ryan Dunne is third in the 100 fly (48.21).

Air Force has two of the top three spots in the 1650 free as Faciszewski is second (15;14.16) and Jackson is third (15:16.70). The Falcons also have the top two spots in the 400 IM as Faciszewski is second (3:53.82) and Jackson is third (3:54.82).
