Amy Miller who swims for Crawfish Aquatics and Saint Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, LA has just committed to swim for Steve Bultman at Texas A&M University.

Miller is a sprint freestyler and breaststroker and has developed into a good 100 butterfly swimmer this past summer. She is the Crawfish Aquatics record holder in the 100 breast short course and 50 freestyle long course in addition to holding 9 relay team records. She is a Louisiana state champion for both club and high school in multiple individual and relay events. She is also a Louisiana swimming state relay record holder in multiple events and is an LHSAA high school state record holder in the 200 medley and 200 free relays. She made two finals this past summer at the inaugural Futures Championships in West Lafayette, IN. She is looking to defend her 100 breast championship at the LHSAA State championships in three weeks and also win the 100 free for the first time.

Prior to dedicating herself to swimming, Miller was a standout volleyball player. Also, immediately following the high school season her junior year, in December 2014, she had UCL (Tommy John) surgery on her elbow. Through months of rehab and therapy she came back this past summer to not only drop time in all of her events, but qualified for Winter Junior Nationals and barely just make Summer Junior Nationals.

Miller has consistently dropped time each season (see below); continuing her development along this course will make her a great addition to A&M’s sprint groups. In addition to the times posted this summer in best events, Miller also went 1:06.97 in the 100 fly and split 2:12 on an 800 free relay.
