Lindsey Wilson Picks Up Commitment From Sarah Hahn

Sarah Hahn has verbally committed to swim for Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky next season.

Hahn, a backstroke and freestyler, currently swims for Carmel High School and Carmel Swim Club. In the 2014-2015 season, Carmel High School absolutely dominated Indiana High School Swimming Championships, posting 445 points to second place Fischers’s 179. Here are Hahn’s fastest times:

  • 50 FR: 26.69
  • 100 FR: 59.63
  • 200 FR: 2:06.64
  • 500 FR: 5:33.37
  • 1650 FR: 19:21.99
  • 100 BK: 1:02.28
  • 200 BK: 2:13.95

Lindsey Wilson, coached by Alicia Kemnitz, competes in the Mid-South Conference of the NAIA. Last year, the Blue Raiders finished second at Mid-South Conference Championships and tenth at NAIA National Championships. Hahn should make big points for the team at the conference level; at last year’s conference, she would have taken third in the 200 back, fourth in the 500 free, fourth in the mile, fifth in the 100 back, sixth in the 50 free, and sixth in the 200 free. She even would have made the consolation final at last year’s NAIA National Championships in the 200 backstroke.

Hahn also has the potential to make the team’s ‘A’ relays in her freshman year. Last year at NAIA Nationals, the Lindsey Wilson team split from 25.11 to 26.74 in the 200 free relay and from 1:59.96 to 2:05.74 in the 800 free relay, both well within her range.

Two of Hahn’s Carmel teammates will also swim at the college level next year, Veronica Burchill at Georgia and Kendall Smith at Wisconsin.
