Julie Henninger of Colorado Gives Verbal to NAIA Runner-Up SCAD Savannah

Colorado Springs, Colorado native Julie Henninger has made a verbal commitment to the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Bees for 2015-16. Henninger trains with Altitude Performance Swim Team where she excels in the shorter end of the back/free spectrum.

Swimming with Rampart High School at the 2014 Colorado 5A State Championships, Henninger placed eighth in the 100 free and 15th in the 100 back. She also led off Rampart’s 200 medley relay and anchored their 400 free relay. Henninger’s top times in short course yards are:

50y back – 27.92
100y back – 58.71
200y back – 2:13.41
50y free: 26.27
100y free – 52.96

Henninger’s best 100 free would have placed her in the “A” final at 2014 NAIA National Championships and her 100 back would have been on the A/B bubble, making her an immediate-impact member of the Bees’ 2015-16 squad.
